Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care

Experienced Nurse Practitioner needed for a locum tenens primary care opportunity at an outpatient clinic in the greater Los Angeles area. Join a fast-paced practice serving patients of all ages while enjoying a Monday-Friday schedule, no call, and a community-focused setting in Southern California.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,640-$4,310
• Setting: Outpatient clinic
• Location: Greater Los Angeles area, California
• Start Date: 9/14/2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
• Shifts Per Week: 5
• Shift Duration: 8 Hour Days
• Additional Schedule Details: One half-day Saturday per month from 8:30 AM-12:30 PM with a weekday off
• Call: No call
• Patient Volume: Approximately 20-24 patients per day
• EMR: Epic

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience in primary care, family medicine, or outpatient clinic settings
• Active California Nurse Practitioner license required
• Board certification required
• Spanish-speaking ability required
• Must be comfortable seeing patients of all ages across the lifespan
• Experience using Epic or similar electronic medical record systems preferred
• Vaccination preferred; waivers will be considered

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services for patients across the lifespan
• Evaluate and treat common acute illnesses such as cold and flu symptoms
• Manage family medicine visits, including routine, follow-up, and same-day appointments
• Document patient encounters accurately in the Epic electronic medical record
• Collaborate with clinic staff and interdisciplinary team members to support efficient patient care
• Deliver compassionate, culturally responsive care to a diverse patient population in the greater Los Angeles healthcare community
