Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active New York State RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience
• Telemetry nursing experience required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in a collaborative care environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver competent, patient-centered nursing care based on established standards and best practices
• Monitor and respond to telemetry findings as part of routine inpatient care
• Support patients with neuromusculoskeletal and medical-surgical needs in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse managers, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, high-quality outcomes
• Take on expanded duties such as charge nurse, preceptor, or committee participation as needed
• Maintain professionalism while working varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities based on unit needs
