• Employment Type: Travel healthcare job
• Duration: 8 weeks
• Start Date: September 8, 2026
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,220 - $1,310
• Location: Durham, North Carolina
• Orientation: Bi-weekly orientation with required onboarding modules

Paramedic Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of ALS Paramedic experience required
• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Current Class C driver's license from North Carolina or another state required
• Preferred certifications: PHTLS, BTLS, or ITLS
• Ability to provide a supervisory reference from within the last year
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 pounds

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with paramedic scope of practice and medical direction
• Assist with evaluation, treatment, and transport of patients in ALS I, ALS II, and BLS environments
• Monitor patients and accurately document care, outcomes, and response to treatment
• Operate and maintain ambulance and medical equipment safely and effectively
• Complete daily vehicle inspections, fueling, cleaning, and minor maintenance tasks
• Assist with loading and unloading patients and provide support to families as needed
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment while following infection control and PPE guidelines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and support education and outreach efforts as assigned
