- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: Every other weekend; self-scheduling available; 3 out of 4 holidays within a 6-week schedule
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
Job Requirements
- Active RN license; compact license accepted
- Minimum of 1 year of registered nurse experience required
- BLS certification through AHA required
- ACLS certification through AHA required
- ONS certification preferred
- Ability to pass required EKG and pharmacology exams during compliance
- Strong telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
- Experience with EPIC preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced oncology nursing environment with complex patient needs
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult oncology and hematology patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, as the unit does not use monitor techs
- Administer chemotherapy and manage continuous infusion medications
- Support patients with complex pain management needs
- Perform wound vac dressing changes and manage wound drains
- Care for patients with central lines, tracheostomies, and chest tubes
- Perform IV starts, peripheral lab draws, and arterial blood draws
- Administer and monitor various IV drips, including cardiac, insulin, and heparin infusions
- Collaborate with the care team to support patients with multi-system complications and immunocompromised conditions
- Maintain safe, compassionate, and efficient care in a 48-bed unit with strong teamwork and ancillary support
