- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Some weekends, including every other weekend
- Setting: High-acuity, fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:3
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience required
- Active compact RN license or Ohio RN license in hand at the time of submission
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- EPIC charting experience required
- Experience with conscious sedation, ventilated patients, and telemetry monitoring
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, dysrhythmia interpretation, and cardiac/vasoactive drip management preferred
- Ability to float to equivalent or lower-acuity units as needed
- Two professional references required, including one from a manager, director, or supervisor
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a progressive care environment
- Monitor patients closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Care for patients with complex diagnoses, including respiratory failure, stroke, COPD, DKA, MI, influenza, and COVID
- Support patients requiring stable ventilators, non-invasive ventilation, high-flow oxygen therapy, and telemetry monitoring
- Assist with central line care, heparin protocols, and titrated drips within scope of practice
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote excellent patient outcomes
- Document thoroughly in EPIC and maintain clear, professional communication with the care team
