Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel) – Cincinnati, OH

Job Details

• Position: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
• Location: Cincinnati, OH 45255
• Start Date: September 8, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts; 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Call Requirements: Night call Monday-Friday, weekend call, Saturday call rotation, and holiday call as assigned
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Setting: Inpatient Surgical Services / Operating Room
• Case Mix: Vascular, general surgery, GYN, ENT, robotics, and orthopedics

Job Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility
• Minimum 4 years of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS required; NIH Stroke Scale credential/certification required as applicable
• Must be prepared to complete a dysrhythmia exam
• Strong Operating Room experience preferred, including knowledge of sterile technique, AORN standards, and perioperative workflow
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and participate in a call rotation
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgery
• Perform patient assessments, develop plans of care, and evaluate outcomes throughout the surgical episode
• Assist with gowning, draping, sterile field maintenance, and surgical equipment setup
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and anesthesia providers to support efficient procedures
• Monitor patient condition, room safety, and adherence to aseptic technique throughout the case
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the surgical team
• Support patient comfort, safety, and education in a fast-paced OR environment
• Adapt to a variety of surgical cases while maintaining professionalism and composure under pressure
