• Location: Santa Fe, NM 87505
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekend / On-Call: Rotating weekend and on-call coverage required
• Floating: May float to other Med/Surg departments
• Charting System: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,980-$2,080
• Dress Code: Grey scrubs

Job Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact RN license
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ability to provide safe, efficient patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong communication, organization, critical thinking, and clinical assessment skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process in a medical-surgical setting
• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to hospital protocols and physician orders
• Monitor patients for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition
• Document patient histories, symptoms, care provided, and responses to treatment in EPIC
• Address the emotional, cultural, psychological, and social needs of patients and families
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on discharge plans, care instructions, and resources
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and make appropriate assignments when needed
• Work independently while maintaining awareness of changing clinical situations in an acute care environment
