Job Overview

This travel hospital assignment offers the chance to work in a hospital-based echo lab in Madison, WI 53792. The role supports adult cardiac imaging across inpatient, outpatient, ICU, and ED settings while providing excellent exposure to a fast-paced, high-quality diagnostic cardiology environment.

Job Details

• Setting: Hospital-based echocardiography lab with inpatient and outpatient coverage
• Schedule: Monday–Friday day shift with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,260–$2,430
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Float/Rotation: May float between the main hospital and nearby clinics; occasional weekend coverage may be needed
• Start Date: 9/14/2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of cardiac echo experience required
• RDCS or RCS credential required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasonography or diagnostic medical sonography program required
• Experience with adult echocardiography, Doppler imaging, 2D/3D echo, bubble studies, and portable studies preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare setting and maintain productivity expectations
• Epic experience preferred
• Ability to support inpatient, outpatient, ICU, and ED echo studies as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality echocardiographic studies following ASE transthoracic echo protocols
• Complete an average of 7 scans per day while meeting pace and volume expectations
• Administer ultrasound enhancement agents and agitated saline bubble studies when indicated
• Support complex cardiac cases including TAVR, VAD, ECMO, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and follow-up imaging
• Provide diagnostic cardiac imaging care for adult and geriatric patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to deliver accurate, timely echocardiography results
• Float as needed to support coverage across assigned locations and clinic sites
