• Float Expectations: Must be willing to float as needed to comparable pediatric and critical care areas

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a pediatric hospital, PICU, or pediatric critical care setting
• Recent Level I pediatric experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Experience with a high-acuity PICU, ideally a 30+ bed unit
• Experience managing BiPAP, CPAP, and pediatric critical care equipment
• Ability to care for infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and select adult patients as needed
• Strong references required at time of submission, including at least one supervisor or manager reference
• Must be comfortable working in a dynamic healthcare environment with frequent float expectations

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Monitor and manage complex respiratory and hemodynamic conditions in the PICU
• Support patients requiring advanced therapies and specialized equipment such as ECMO, CRRT, high-flow oxygen, CPAP, BiPAP, ventilators, oscillators, and nitric oxide
• Care for patients with diagnoses including respiratory illness, sepsis, hematology/oncology conditions, multi-system trauma, burns, and transplant-related needs
• Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, physical therapy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Adapt quickly to changing assignments and float to appropriate pediatric or critical care units when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold a high standard of pediatric critical care nursing practice
