• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 - $2,030
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Float Expectation: May float to NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and med-surg as needed
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Patient Census: Approximately 18

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand
• At least 2 years of PICU experience preferred
• Recent Level I pediatric experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Comfortable floating to related pediatric and critical care units
• Ability to provide 2 professional references, including at least 1 supervisor or manager reference
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a high-acuity environment
• Experience with pediatric dosage calculations, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, central line care, and PICU workflows preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality care to critically ill infants, children, adolescents, and select adult patients in the PICU
• Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, ports, gastric tubes, and ventilated patients as appropriate
• Perform pediatric assessments, administer medications, and support rapid response interventions
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and other interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Support a family-centered care approach while maintaining a calm, compassionate presence in critical situations
• Adapt to floating assignments while maintaining excellent clinical standards across pediatric care areas
