Job Details

• Position: MRI Technologist
• Location: Berlin, VT
• Setting: Hospital-based imaging department
• Assignment Length: Approximately 13-16 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,710-$2,920
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
• Schedule: Primarily daytime hours with start times that may vary between 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM
• Call Requirement: 1 night per week and every 4th or 5th weekend
• Floating: May float within radiology areas, including fluoroscopy, the OR, and off-site locations as needed
• Equipment: Wide-bore MRI system
• Documentation System: Epic

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience in a hospital or imaging center setting
• ARRT MRI certification required
• Teaching facility experience required
• Epic experience within the last 2 years is required
• Ability to perform IV starts and contrast injections
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment with flexibility for schedule changes
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Previous experience floating across imaging areas is highly valued

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams in accordance with department protocols and patient safety standards
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain the process clearly and compassionately
• Administer contrast injections when indicated and follow appropriate safety procedures
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic
• Support a variety of routine hospital imaging needs in a community healthcare setting
• Collaborate with radiology staff and other clinical team members to ensure smooth workflow
• Participate in on-call coverage and provide dependable support during weekends and evenings as scheduled
• Adapt to changing departmental needs and assist in other radiology areas when required
