• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Scheduled holidays, including 2 of 3 major holiday periods
• Floating: Required to multiple telemetry units and potential ED hold assignments
• Documentation System: Epic experience required within the past 2 years

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York, or proof of application submitted with date
• Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of specialty experience in Med/Surg Telemetry required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start
• CMSRN certification preferred
• Recent Epic EHR experience within the last 2 years is nonnegotiable
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work independently while supporting a float/resource pool model
• Reliable transportation is strongly recommended

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to medical-surgical telemetry patients across a varied resource pool assignment
• Deliver nursing care for patients with oncology, orthopedic, and urology-related medical-surgical needs
• Support ED hold patients as needed while maintaining strong telemetry nursing standards
• Perform IV starts, blood draws, glucose monitoring, bladder scans, and blood draws from central lines as appropriate
• Monitor telemetry patients and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Adapt to floating across designated units based on patient care needs and staffing demands
• Maintain professional standards in appearance, communication, and teamwork
