Overview

The Clinical Nurse Educator is a registered nurse with strong acute care experience who supports professional development, competency validation, and evidence-based practice across the clinical environment. In this travel nursing role, you’ll work independently with limited oversight while partnering with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to elevate clinical performance and support high-quality patient care.

Job Details

• Position Type: Travel RN / Healthcare Job
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370 - $2,500
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• Location: Northwestern Arizona, in a culturally vibrant community on the Colorado Plateau
• Additional Notes: Full compliance is required 2 weeks prior to the start date; no call

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
• Current, full, and unrestricted RN license valid in any U.S. state, territory, or Puerto Rico
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• ANCC Nursing Professional Development (NPD) specialty certification, or willingness to complete the review course within 6 months and obtain certification within 1 year of hire
• At least 3 years of acute care nursing experience in settings such as ICU, PCU, ER, or PACU/post-op recovery
• At least 1 year of clinical education and staff professional development experience within the past 2 years
• 1 year of verifiable experience providing staff orientation, educational presentations, or on-the-job training for clinical staff

Responsibilities

• Assess practice gaps and learning needs using the nursing process
• Facilitate positive learning environments that support safe, effective clinical practice
• Lead staff onboarding, orientation, and competency management initiatives
• Develop and deliver department-specific nursing education and training
• Support AHA life safety compliance management
• Promote evidence-based practice, research integration, and staff role development
• Provide mentorship and support for student placements and professional growth
• Partner with committees such as unit practice councils, quality improvement, risk management, ethics, and infection prevention
• Contribute to improved clinical outcomes through education, collaboration, and continuous improvement
