This Med/Surg Tele RN role includes 12-hour rotating shifts and an every-other-weekend rotation, with the chance to support a high-acuity inpatient setting while expanding your telemetry and medical-surgical nursing expertise.

Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• At least 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Telemetry nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Travel nursing experience required
• Comfort floating to like units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric patients
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
• Administer medications and manage complex treatments according to the plan of care
• Support patients receiving blood products, insulin drips, oxygen therapy, and IV medications
• Perform central line, PICC line, and peripheral line care and management
• Use strong assessment and critical thinking skills to support rapid response and code situations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote high-quality outcomes
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Float to like units when needed and adapt to changing patient needs
