Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg, orthopedic nursing, or trauma nursing experience
• Experience with telemetry preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale experience helpful
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment
• Comfortable floating to similar level-of-care Med/Surg units as needed

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for post-op orthopedic and trauma patients
• Care for patients following knee, hip, and shoulder replacements
• Support patients with trauma needs and occasional neuro overflow cases
• Monitor and document patient conditions accurately in Meditech
• Perform bedside shift report and hourly rounding to enhance patient experience
• Collaborate with unit secretaries, patient care techs (PCTs), and the interdisciplinary care team
• Assist with patient needs involving traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
• Float to other Med/Surg units when needed based on contract expectations
