Job Requirements

• 2 years of current Mother/Baby, Maternal Newborn, or related Registered Nurse experience required
• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Advanced NRP certification required
• Experience with couplet care strongly preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Must be comfortable working in a high-acuity, team-oriented maternal-newborn environment
• Applicants should live at least 100 miles from the hospital and provide a current driver's license with the application packet

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care to postpartum mothers and newborns
• Deliver attentive couplet care with a patient-centered approach
• Monitor maternal and newborn conditions, support recovery, and respond to changing clinical needs
• Maintain a 1:2 patient ratio while collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary care team
• Assist with postpartum care and maternal surgical recovery needs
• Float to Labor & Delivery or assist as a sitter RN when needed
• Support weekend, holiday, and voluntary on-call coverage when assigned
