Travel Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry in Seattle, WA 98122
Travel RN opportunity in Seattle, WA: bring your cardiac telemetry expertise to a fast-paced surgical telemetry unit and provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients. - Setting: Cardiac Telemetry / Surgical Telemetry
- Schedule: 3 night shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30)
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Start Date: September 21, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770 - $1,860
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required to float to like units as needed
- Charting System: Epic experience required
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at submission
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience
- Prior surgical telemetry experience required
- Open heart surgery and vascular experience required
- NIHSS certification required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Epic charting experience is a hard-stop requirement
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Ability to work flexibly and float to nearby like units as needed
- Strong IV skills and comfort managing telemetry patients in a high-acuity environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for cardiac telemetry patients with complex medical and surgical needs
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognizing and responding to dysrhythmias promptly
- Care for patients pre- and post-open-heart surgery, vascular surgery, and cath lab procedures
- Support patients with myocardial infarction, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and stroke with cardiac involvement
- Manage common telemetry unit needs such as breathing treatments, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, and tracheostomy care
- Administer blood and blood products according to clinical protocols
- Assist with cardioversion/defibrillation and epicardial pacer management
- Deliver safe, timely care while collaborating with interdisciplinary support teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate changes in patient condition effectively
