Job Details
- Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
- Location: Seattle, WA 98122 — in a vibrant, centrally located part of the city with easy access to Seattle’s cafés, waterfront views, and lively neighborhood energy.
- Shift: Night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,860
- Start Date: 9/21/2026
- Patient Ratio: 1:4, with occasional 1:5 at midnight
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and coverage as needed
- Floating: Required to float to like units based on facility needs
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
- Experience with surgical cardiac telemetry, open heart surgery, and vascular patients
- Epic charting experience is required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong IV skills and experience managing radial band/groin care
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac telemetry patients
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, post-op cardiac care, and stroke patients with cardiac involvement
- Flexible, dependable, and willing to float to like units as needed
- Compact or valid state RN license required at time of submission
- Travel RN experience preferred; first-time travelers are not accepted
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients with myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, heart failure, and post-operative cardiac conditions
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
- Care for pre- and post-open-heart, vascular surgery, and cath lab patients
- Support patients requiring breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, trach care, and chest tube management
- Administer and monitor blood products, cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, and insulin protocols as assigned
- Assist with cardioversion, defibrillation, epicardial pacer management, and other advanced cardiac interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit protocols and safety standards
- Adapt to changing patient needs and float to like units when needed to support operations
