• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts with rotating day/evening coverage options
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Call: Required, including weeknight and weekend call coverage
• Weekend Coverage: Up to 2 weekend call shifts per 4-week schedule
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370

Job Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center or trauma OR setting required
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS certification required
• CAC certification required
• General OR and trauma experience required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in a busy Operating Room environment
• Support a wide range of surgical cases, including trauma, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, and more
• Assist with circulating and/or scrub responsibilities based on unit needs and experience
• Maintain patient safety through strict adherence to sterile technique, universal protocol, and infection prevention standards
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth case flow
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain clear, timely communication throughout the surgical process
• Participate in call coverage and respond to urgent and emergent surgical cases as needed
• Deliver compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity, fast-moving setting
