• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,690 - $1,820
• Schedule Notes: Day shift coverage with no call and no weekends on the initial contract

Job Requirements

• 1+ year of operating room or surgical technology experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited civilian or military Operating Room Technician / Surgical Technician program
• NBSTSA certification required and must be maintained
• BLS certification required
• Orthopedic surgical experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, infection control, and surgical instrumentation

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with surgical instruments, equipment, sterile drapes, and solutions
• Maintain a sterile environment in accordance with hospital policy and established standards of care
• Assist surgeons and registered nurses by passing instruments and sterile supplies during procedures
• Set up, assemble, and verify the proper function of equipment and instrumentation
• Help position patients, transport patients to the OR, and assist with postoperative transfer
• Support specimen handling, surgical dressing application, and accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts
• Assist with OR turnover, restocking, and preparation for the next procedure
• Contribute to teamwork, patient privacy, dignity, and a safe surgical environment
• Support ongoing equipment and instrumentation readiness for specialty services
