• Shift Schedule: Days and nights available; orientation takes place on days
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend, with flexibility based on unit needs
• Setting: High-acuity birth center with labor, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• High-acuity obstetric nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience triaging OB patients and supporting high-risk deliveries
• Ability to circulate in the OR and perform cervical checks
• Skill in reading and interpreting fetal monitoring strips
• Comfort providing support for normal newborn recovery as needed
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP certification
• Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (AWHONN)
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care to laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients
• Support high-risk obstetric patients, including hypertension, preterm labor, insulin drips, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and postpartum hemorrhage
• Serve as a break nurse and assist with coverage across the Labor & Delivery unit as needed
• Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or newborn condition
• Assist with deliveries and transition care for mother and baby after birth
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, respiratory therapy, and other healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and follow unit protocols
• Deliver reliable, patient-centered nursing care in a busy, team-oriented hospital environment
