• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour days
• Shift Window: 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM
• Weekend Coverage: Variable as needed
• Floating: First to float
• Orientation: Department orientation and EMR training provided

Job Requirements

• Active Virginia Radiation Therapist license at time of submission
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• RT(T) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist using Varian treatment systems
• Experience with Varian TrueBeam, Varian Trilogy, and IBA Proton required
• Experience with Aria EMR required
• Ability to work 40 hours per week on a 10-hour day schedule
• Comfortable with variable weekend coverage when needed
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and patient-centered care skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, precise radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients
• Operate advanced radiation treatment equipment and support daily radiation oncology workflows
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to ensure accurate treatment delivery
• Document patient care, treatment details, and clinical activity in Aria EMR
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment for scheduled patient appointments
• Maintain a professional, compassionate approach throughout the patient experience
• Provide Saturday coverage when treatment needs or equipment downtime require it
• Support a collaborative, high-performing hospital-based oncology environment
