• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Schedule: 40 hours per week; day shift schedule with no call and no weekends on the initial contract
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,690-$1,820

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited civilian or military Operating Room Technician / Surgical Technician program
• NBSTSA certification required and must be maintained throughout the assignment
• BLS certification required
• At least 1 year of operating room, surgical tech, or perioperative experience required
• Orthopedic experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, infection control, and OR safety practices

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with surgical instruments, equipment, sterile drapes, and supplies
• Maintain a sterile field and follow established OR policies and AORN standards of care
• Assist as a scrub technician across a variety of surgical services and specialties
• Pass instruments and sterile supplies to the surgeon and surgical assistants during procedures
• Support the surgical team with retractors, sutures, counts, and procedural setup
• Prepare and dispose of specimens according to procedure and laboratory requirements
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, transfer, turnover, and room restocking
• Help ensure patient privacy, dignity, safety, and an excellent care experience
• Collaborate with the surgical team to keep instruments and equipment organized and ready for use
