- Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and major holiday coverage required
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact eligibility
- At least 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Previous experience in acute care, ER nursing, or critical care strongly preferred
- Experience with conscious sedation required
- BLS and ACLS required
- CPI or de-escalation training required
- EPIC experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a high-acuity Emergency Department
- Must be comfortable caring for patients across the lifespan, including pediatric and adolescent populations
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department / Emergency Room setting
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, prioritize care, and respond quickly to changing conditions
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Support triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and crisis intervention efforts
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated patient care
- Use critical thinking to care for patients with medical, pediatric, geriatric, and behavioral health needs
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and professional standards at all times
- Document care thoroughly in the electronic medical record and participate in quality improvement initiatives
