Job Requirements

• Board certification in General Surgery required
• Minimum of 1 year of general surgery experience required
• Current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience managing a broad range of adult, pediatric, and neonatal surgical cases preferred
• Strong procedural skills and readiness to support a varied surgical service line
• Experience in a hospital-based or community hospital surgical setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite locum tenens general surgery coverage
• Evaluate and manage approximately 6-8 patient encounters per shift
• Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and abdominal cases
• Support trauma-related and urgent surgical care as needed
• Handle common procedures such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and related operations
• Assist with inpatient and emergency surgical interventions when clinically indicated
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the care team to deliver safe, timely, high-quality surgical care
