Job Requirements

• Current Respiratory Therapist credential
• Experience with tracheostomy care, airway management, and respiratory patient care
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Comfort working with ventilatory support equipment, oxygen delivery devices, and aerosol therapy
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

Responsibilities

• Provide quality respiratory care and patient transport within the scope of practice
• Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate respiratory treatment plans
• Administer prescribed respiratory treatments using invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment
• Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and tracheostomy care as indicated
• Monitor oxygenation and ventilation using oximetry, capnography, and arterial puncture results
• Assist with procedures related to respiratory care and mechanical ventilation
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and patient responses
• Communicate effectively during shift handoffs and with the interdisciplinary care team
• Support equipment checks, maintenance, and quality-focused patient care delivery
