- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
- Schedule: Every other weekend rotation
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of nursing experience required
- Previous PICU or pediatric critical care experience preferred
- Experience with aseptic and sterile techniques
- Basic dressing changes and wound care skills
- Ventilator and trach management experience
- Suctioning, feeding tube, g-tube/j-tube, chest tube, epidural, PCA, drip management, and Foley care experience
- CRRT experience preferred; prior experience with Prismax is a plus
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Experience with Epic preferred
- Ability to float as needed to MedSurg, ED, or NICU in supporting roles
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality care to critically ill pediatric patients
- Monitor and manage patients with respiratory, cardiac, surgical, traumatic, medical, and oncology needs
- Support care for children with conditions such as asthma, RSV, COVID, MIS-C, congenital heart defects, and complex post-surgical needs
- Administer and monitor drips, manage airway devices, and perform bedside interventions as indicated
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to positive patient outcomes
- Adapt quickly to changing patient acuity and unit needs in a fast-paced pediatric hospital environment
- Provide occasional support across related pediatric and acute care areas when needed
