Travel Echo Tech Job Details
- Location: Petaluma, CA 94954
- Setting: Hospital / Echocardiography / Cardiology
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Day shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Hours per Week: 36
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 to $1,990
- Weekend Coverage: May be required
- Floating: May float to nearby facilities as needed
- Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
Echo Technologist Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of echocardiography experience
- Experience with Epic charting system required
- Community hospital experience required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- ARDMS or CCI credential required
- ARRT Sonography certification required
- Radiology/Cardiology credentials and certification as appropriate for the role
- Active license in hand at time of submission
- Proficiency with TEE, Watchman, Mitral Clips, and bubble studies
- Strong experience with adult acute care and outpatient cardiac imaging
- Ability to work independently while supporting a fast-paced clinical team
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality echocardiographic studies for a diverse patient population
- Complete advanced cardiac imaging procedures, including TEE, Watchman, Mitral Clips, and bubble studies
- Obtain and interpret images according to department protocols and physician needs
- Support procedures in ICU, ED, and other acute care settings when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting within the charting system
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Prepare patients for exams and provide professional, compassionate service
- Adapt to a dynamic hospital environment while delivering dependable care
