- Setting: Hospital / Inpatient Pharmacy
- Work Type: Travel Pharmacist Assignment
- Schedule: 7 on / 7 off rotation
- Shift: Night shift, 20:00 - 06:30; may transition to a day shift schedule later in the assignment
- Shift Duration: 10 hours
- Contract Length: 26 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,390 - $2,560
- Start Date: 09/21/2026
- Orientation: Non-billable orientation required prior to start
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of pharmacy experience required
- Hospital pharmacy experience required
- Exposure to pediatric patients required
- Active Texas pharmacist license required; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
- PharmD and RPh credentials required
- BLS certification required
- Epic charting experience preferred/required
- Strong knowledge of inpatient medication distribution, dosing, and clinical pharmacy practices
- Ability to work every other weekend and commit to the scheduled 7-on/7-off rotation
Responsibilities
- Verify, prepare, and dispense medications for inpatient care
- Support safe and effective medication therapy across pediatric and general hospital populations
- Perform clinical dosing, therapeutic monitoring, and medication safety checks
- Work with high-alert medications, IV preparations, and sterile compounding processes as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Assist with medication packaging, Pyxis-related pharmacy workflows, and inventory support
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow hospital policies and procedures
- Adapt to unit needs and provide reliable coverage throughout the assigned rotation
