• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Unit: Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Charting System: Cerner PowerChart
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 holidays
• Float Requirement: May float to like units or nearby affiliate hospitals
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770-$1,870

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; 1-2 years preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Cerner experience required
• Comfort working in a high-acuity telemetry and cardiac care setting
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management preferred
• Ability to work day shifts and participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Willingness to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
• Vaccination requirements apply per facility policy
• Travel nurses must live at least 50 miles away from the facility

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled bedside nursing care for telemetry patients with cardiac and vascular conditions
• Monitor patients with diagnoses such as CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke, chest pain, and cardiac arrhythmias
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips and other therapies within scope and unit guidelines
• Support patients requiring oxygen therapy, IV care, heparin protocols, and post-cardiac procedure monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians, rapid response teams, respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and other support services
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and follow established unit workflows
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while helping maintain a safe and efficient telemetry unit
