Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and Labor & Delivery nursing
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM required
• AWHONN Advanced preferred
• Experience with circulating, fetal monitoring, and triage preferred
• Ability to work every other weekend and float as needed
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, high-acuity women’s health and newborn care environment
• New graduates are not recommended for this role

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Support OR circulating and scrub duties when needed
• Care for newborns at delivery and assist with couplet care
• Perform lab draws and newborn hearing screens
• Respond to triage needs and support patient flow throughout the unit
• Float to other women’s and newborn care areas as assigned
• Deliver safe nursing care in alignment with unit standards and best practices
