Mother/Baby RN Travel Assignment in Seattle, WA – Postpartum Couplet Care
Join a high-acuity Mother/Baby RN travel team in Seattle, WA 98122, supporting postpartum and couplet care in a fast-paced, high-volume unit. Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Seattle, Washington 98122
- Setting: Mother/Baby, Couplet Care, Postpartum, High-Acuity OB
- Type: Travel RN / Travel Registered Nurse
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights
- Schedule Options: 3x12s or 4x12s
- Duration: 13 or 26 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,830 - $1,930
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Required
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- 2 years of recent Mother/Baby, Postpartum RN, or high-acuity postpartum experience required
- Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at submission
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with high-risk obstetric care required
- Ability to manage postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium therapy, Pitocin, Foley care, and substance withdrawal cases
- Comfort caring for up to 4 couplets as standard
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-census unit
- At least 1 year of nursing experience required
Mother/Baby RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate postpartum and couplet care to mothers and newborns
- Monitor and respond to high-risk obstetric needs and postpartum complications
- Administer and manage medications and therapies such as magnesium and Pitocin per protocol
- Support patients recovering from delivery, including episiotomy/incision care and fundus, lochia, and perineum assessments
- Recognize and intervene in postpartum hemorrhage and other urgent clinical changes
- Document accurately in Epic and maintain high standards of charting compliance
- Float as needed to nearby postpartum and labor & delivery areas based on unit needs
- Deliver patient-centered education and support to families throughout the postpartum stay
