Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Seattle, Washington 98122
• Setting: Mother/Baby, Couplet Care, Postpartum, High-Acuity OB
• Type: Travel RN / Travel Registered Nurse
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights
• Schedule Options: 3x12s or 4x12s
• Duration: 13 or 26 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,830 - $1,930
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• 2 years of recent Mother/Baby, Postpartum RN, or high-acuity postpartum experience required
• Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at submission
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with high-risk obstetric care required
• Ability to manage postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium therapy, Pitocin, Foley care, and substance withdrawal cases
• Comfort caring for up to 4 couplets as standard
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-census unit
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required

Mother/Baby RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate postpartum and couplet care to mothers and newborns
• Monitor and respond to high-risk obstetric needs and postpartum complications
• Administer and manage medications and therapies such as magnesium and Pitocin per protocol
• Support patients recovering from delivery, including episiotomy/incision care and fundus, lochia, and perineum assessments
• Recognize and intervene in postpartum hemorrhage and other urgent clinical changes
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain high standards of charting compliance
• Float as needed to nearby postpartum and labor & delivery areas based on unit needs
• Deliver patient-centered education and support to families throughout the postpartum stay
