• Start Date: 9/21/2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shifts, 4x12-hour schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,830 - $1,930
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Holiday Commitment: Must be available to work 3 of the 5 major holidays
• Float Expectation: May float to nearby postpartum and recovery areas as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Mother/Baby, Postpartum, or high-acuity obstetric nursing experience
• BLS and NRP certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with high-risk obstetric care strongly preferred
• Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, Foley care, postpartum hemorrhage, and substance withdrawal preferred
• Ability to manage up to 4 couplets in a high-census Mother/Baby unit
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, and teamwork in a busy hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality postpartum nursing care and couplet care to mothers and newborns
• Monitor maternal recovery and newborn status following delivery
• Assess and manage postpartum bleeding, fundus, lochia, and perineal care needs
• Administer ordered therapies and monitor patients receiving magnesium sulfate or Pitocin
• Support patients experiencing high-risk obstetric conditions or substance withdrawal needs
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain timely, thorough clinical charting
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote safe, effective care
• Adapt to changing census and maintain excellent patient care during busy shifts
