• Schedule: 36 hours per week; nights, various days
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,180-$2,290
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Patient Ratios: 1:2 for antepartum/postpartum, up to 1:4 in some areas
• Weekend Coverage: Required per unit needs
• Call: May be required per unit needs
• Floating: May float within the service line and potentially to a sister facility
• Charting System: Epic

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, and FHM certifications
• Experience with Epic charting and electronic health records (EHR)
• Strong background in high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity maternal health environment
• Ability to support weekend, night, and on-call coverage as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, inductions, cerclage, D&C, and other obstetric procedures
• Support patients receiving magnesium, insulin, and Pitocin therapy
• Perform fetal monitoring, interpret tracings, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, effective patient care
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the labor and delivery process
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit protocols and safety standards
• Adapt to floating assignments within the service line as needed
