Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience in nursing or acute care
• BLS certification required before the first shift
• ACLS certification required before the first shift
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative healthcare team
• Experience with Med/Surg, inpatient rehabilitation, or similar acute care patient populations preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within the required timeframe after admission
• Develop and carry out individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Provide timely, accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Support discharge planning from the day of admission and begin patient education early in the stay
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the appropriate care providers
• Supervise and guide ancillary nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and orientees
• Promote patient and staff safety by following established policies, procedures, and best practices
• Contribute to a positive, efficient unit culture through teamwork, professionalism, and calm leadership
• Assist with prioritizing care, managing time effectively, and supporting quality outcomes
• Participate in ongoing professional growth and continuous learning
