• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Setting: Behavioral health / psychiatric nursing
• Work Type: On-site travel nursing assignment
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience
• Experience with de-escalation techniques preferred; CPI or Handle With Care experience is a plus
• Comfortable working with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Ability to work 36 hours per week, including every other weekend
• Familiarity with EHR documentation and Omnicell medication systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a behavioral health setting
• Support patients with a low-acuity adult population while maintaining a safe therapeutic environment
• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to assess, monitor, and respond to patient needs
• Use de-escalation and behavioral intervention skills to promote safety and positive outcomes
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record and support medication workflows
• Float between units as needed to meet patient care needs
