Clinic RN – Radiation Oncology Travel Nurse Job in Glenwood Springs, CO

Job Details
- Position: Clinic RN – Radiation Oncology
- Location: Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 — a scenic, welcoming mountain community known for its outdoor recreation and relaxed Colorado lifestyle
- Setting: Outpatient radiation oncology clinic
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Schedule: 4 10-hour day shifts per week, weekdays
- Shift Duration: 10 hours
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 09/22/2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,520 - $2,650
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing in Colorado
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
- At least 2 years of Radiation Oncology RN experience required
- Radiation oncology experience required; medical oncology experience alone does not qualify
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Ability to stay organized and adapt quickly in a busy outpatient clinic environment
- Experience supporting patients across varying ages, cultures, and levels of care
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and clinical support to radiation oncology patients
- Assess patient needs and implement appropriate nursing interventions related to diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
- Educate and counsel patients and families throughout the care journey
- Assist with patient evaluation and examination alongside the Radiation Oncologist
- Coordinate care and communication between radiation oncology and other departments, providers, and support services
- Support referrals to rehabilitation, hospice, nutritional services, and other community-based resources
- Promote continuity, quality, and compassionate care in a collaborative outpatient oncology setting
