Job Requirements

• 2 years of acute care respiratory care experience required
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state of practice required
• NBRC credential required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
• BLS required
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP required
• Previous travel healthcare experience preferred
• NICU experience required
• Bubble CPAP experience required
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and adapt in a high-acuity hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care through patient assessment, planning, intervention, education, and evaluation
• Perform respiratory treatments and therapies according to physician orders and clinical guidelines
• Monitor patient response to therapy and recommend changes as needed
• Support adult and NICU patients, with limited pediatric stabilization in the emergency setting
• Draw arterial blood gases and interpret findings as part of patient management
• Attend deliveries and assist with neonatal respiratory support when needed
• Manage and maintain equipment such as Bubble CPAP and other respiratory therapy devices
• Provide patient and caregiver education on respiratory conditions, oxygen therapy, inhaler use, and ventilator care when applicable
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation in accordance with facility standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care
