Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Adolescent behavioral health or adolescent psych unit experience required
• Experience with acute adult mental health preferred
• Strong de-escalation, crisis intervention, and therapeutic communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-acuity behavioral health situations
• Comfort caring for patients with thought disorders, psychosis, personality disorders, and mania
• Willingness to float as needed
• Current RN license required

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a behavioral health and psychiatric nursing setting
• Support adolescents experiencing acute mental health symptoms and behavioral health crises
• Use therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques to promote safety and stability
• Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changing psychiatric needs
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to provide high-quality mental health support
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established unit protocols
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
