Sterile Processing Technician Travel Job in Voorhees, NJ – CRCST Required

Experienced Sterile Processing Technician needed for a 13-week travel assignment in Voorhees, New Jersey. Join a busy hospital surgical services team in South Jersey, just outside Philadelphia, and help ensure surgical instruments, scopes, and case carts are processed safely, accurately, and on time.

• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,130 - $1,210
• Start Date: 09/28/2026
• Weekend Coverage: As needed
• On Call: No
• Floating: Required based on staffing needs within the designated hospital system
• Time Off: One pre-approved request allowed

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing experience required
• Recent sterile processing or central sterile experience within the last 12 months preferred
• CRCST certification required
• Travel Sterile Processing Technician experience required; first-time travelers may be considered
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Experience with acute care OR instrument processing, endoscopes, loaner trays, sterilization, and high-level disinfection preferred
• Willingness to float as needed based on departmental and hospital staffing needs
• Must complete compliance requirements prior to start, including pre-employment labs and required documentation

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and tray sets
• Process and reprocess a variety of scopes, instruments, and specialty equipment
• Follow strict sterilization, labeling, wrapping, and documentation procedures
• Operate washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic cleaners, and related sterile processing equipment
• Maintain quality control standards, including chemical and biological indicator monitoring
• Support the operating room by preparing case carts, preference cards, and loaner instrumentation
• Ensure instruments are ready for safe, timely use in surgical procedures
• Float within the designated facilities as staffing needs require
