Postpartum Registered Nurse - Travel Assignment in Grants, New Mexico

Join a supportive postpartum and Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) care team in Grants, New Mexico.   • Position: Registered Nurse - Postpartum / Mother-Baby / LDRP
  • Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
  • Setting: LDRP / Obstetrics / Postpartum Care
  • Start Date: 09/21/2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
  • Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
  • Location: Grants, New Mexico 87020
  • Schedule Notes: Rotating nights with possible holiday and weekend coverage
  • Position Urgency: Quick start

Job Requirements

  • Active New Mexico RN license or compact eNLC license
  • Postpartum RN, mother-baby, labor & delivery, obstetrics, or women’s health experience preferred
  • Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent
  • Current ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required
  • OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification required within 12 months
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient education skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital environment
  • Comfort working with patients across the perinatal, postpartum, and newborn care continuum

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered postpartum nursing care
  • Complete thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Support labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care as needed
  • Educate and support patients and families throughout recovery and transition of care
  • Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately
  • Document care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain sterile technique and support safe newborn and postpartum care practices
  • Float to other departments as needed with appropriate orientation and training
  • Assist with quality improvement, patient safety, and daily unit operations
