Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical nursing experience
• ICU experience required
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift
• Strong assessment, documentation, and care-planning skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and use findings to guide an individualized plan of care
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to identify teaching needs and care goals
• Provide timely updates for team conferences and re-evaluation meetings
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Support the rehabilitation program by delivering direct patient care through the nursing process
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and begin patient education in anticipation of discharge
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the appropriate care providers
• Guide, train, and supervise ancillary nursing personnel as appropriate
• Promote patient and employee safety by following facility policies and safe nursing practice standards
• Contribute positively to unit teamwork, patient experience, and quality outcomes
