• Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN / ED RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment

• Duration: 18 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:30 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.
• Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts per week
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Location: Richmond, Virginia 23226
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and major holiday coverage required

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Experience with conscious sedation required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPI or de-escalation training required
• EPIC experience preferred
• Ability to successfully complete an EKG exam at orientation
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced emergency room environment with patients of all ages

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, coordinated nursing care to emergency patients of all ages
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and hospital policies
• Support triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and crisis intervention as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Serve as a patient safety advocate and promote high-quality care in the Emergency Department
• Assist with patient flow, prioritization, and coordination throughout the ED
• Maintain professionalism, compassion, and calm decision-making in urgent situations
