Job Details
- Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN / ED RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Start Date: 09/14/2026
- Duration: 18 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:30 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.
- Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts per week
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
- Location: Richmond, Virginia 23226
- Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and major holiday coverage required
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Experience with conscious sedation required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CPI or de-escalation training required
- EPIC experience preferred
- Ability to successfully complete an EKG exam at orientation
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced emergency room environment with patients of all ages
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, coordinated nursing care to emergency patients of all ages
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and hospital policies
- Support triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and crisis intervention as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Serve as a patient safety advocate and promote high-quality care in the Emergency Department
- Assist with patient flow, prioritization, and coordination throughout the ED
- Maintain professionalism, compassion, and calm decision-making in urgent situations
