Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience or related perinatal RN experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current C-EFM certification or AWHONN Intermediate FHM
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA)
• Current NRP certification
• Perinatal RN residency or recent experience in a perinatal setting preferred
• Ability to complete orientation, competency validation, and annual requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients throughout the labor and delivery process
• Use the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care
• Support patients and families with complex emotional, cultural, psychological, and social needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol and monitor for effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, care delivered, and progress accurately and thoroughly
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on care plans, resources, and learning needs
• Collaborate with the care team and delegate appropriately to support safe, efficient patient care
