Overview

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform a variety of diagnostic imaging exams while helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and well cared for throughout the process. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule, no call, and the opportunity to work with portable radiology equipment in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Job Requirements

• Current and valid state licensure as a Registered Radiologic Technologist
• ARRT certification required
• AART or CMRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the medical imaging field (not including school)
• Experience in diagnostic radiology, portable imaging, or fluoroscopy preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly, communicate effectively, and provide compassionate patient care
• Experience with facility-specific imaging equipment is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic C-arm exams in the department and with portable imaging equipment
• Complete required paperwork, requisitions, and exam scheduling in a timely manner
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions to help reduce anxiety and improve understanding
• Demonstrate the ability to inject IV contrast media as needed
• Perform a variety of examinations, reconstructions, and printing protocols as directed by the radiologist
• Identify mechanical and electronic equipment issues to help troubleshoot imaging equipment
• Safely move and transport patients to and from the department as required
• Order supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Work closely with floor staff to support excellent patient care and positive team relationships
• Attend required in-services, orientations, and perform other duties as assigned
