Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of physical therapist experience
• Current, valid state Physical Therapist license
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience required
• Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, patient-centered environment
• Comfortable managing a varied caseload and adapting to patient care needs

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician direction
• Implement, modify, and progress physical therapy interventions to support functional recovery and discharge goals
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to address barriers to discharge and coordinate continuing care
• Provide patient and family education, including home exercise instruction and equipment training
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions efficiently and effectively
• Complete accurate, timely documentation including evaluations, daily notes, goal writing, discharge summaries, and charge entry
• Support student learning and mentorship when assigned
• Maintain compliance with state practice standards, facility policies, and professional ethics
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and ongoing professional development
• Promote a safe treatment environment for patients, staff, and visitors
