• Position: CVOR Tech / Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist
• Employment Type: Travel Healthcare Job
• Location: Lake Forest, IL 60045
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Call: On-call rotation of 3 days on, 3 days off, beginning at the end of the shift through the following morning
• Orientation: 8 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,030 - $2,190
• Start Date: 09/21/2026

CVOR Tech Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of direct CVOR Tech experience required
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience
• Cardiovascular operating room experience required
• Current CST certification from NBSTSA or NCCT
• Active Illinois license in hand; emergency and pending licenses are not accepted
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Submission must include a skills checklist and 2 references, including one supervisor, manager, or charge RN reference from within the last year
• All time off must be included at the time of submission

CVOR Responsibilities

• Assist in CVOR procedures by preparing instruments, supplies, and equipment for the surgical team
• Support sterile technique and maintain a safe, efficient operating room environment
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs during cardiac surgery and vascular procedures
• Ensure proper handling, count, and organization of surgical instruments and supplies
• Collaborate closely with OR staff to help promote smooth workflow and excellent patient care
• Participate in call coverage as scheduled and remain responsive to unit needs
• Complete orientation modules and any required compliance steps prior to or during assignment
