• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
• Employment Type: Travel Contract
• Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
• Start Date: 9/21/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 hours accepted
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Target Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,660 - $1,750
• Schedule: Based on unit needs
• Weekend Requirement: Required
• Floating: Required
• Scrubs: Navy/White

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry experience
• BLS certification required
• Experience with telemetry remote monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Comfortable working with IV insulin protocols and heparin management
• Experience with Epic preferred
• Must be open to floating within and near the facility as needed
• Must be able to pass EKG testing prior to start
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and manage therapies such as IV insulin and heparin protocols
• Support patients with common medical/surgical diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, diabetes, anemia, and GI bleed
• Perform and manage nursing interventions including IV starts, line care, wound care, oxygen support, and isolation precautions
• Collaborate with rapid response, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Document care accurately in Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR
• Adapt to unit needs, maintain flexibility, and deliver safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital nursing environment
