• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse / Travel RN
• Setting: Labor & Delivery, Perinatal Care, Mother-Baby, Postpartum
• Start Date: 11/16/2026
• Duration: 20 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200 - $2,320
• Schedule Notes: 4 weekend shifts per month; must be willing to float to Perinatal as needed
• Orientation: 36 hours
• On-Call: Voluntary

Job Requirements

• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced certifications required
• Experience with external fetal monitoring and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Ability to circulate for C-sections and support operative deliveries
• References required with submission
• Must be comfortable working weekends and most holidays
• Smoke/nicotine-free work environment; candidates should arrive free of tobacco odor
• Flu vaccine required; medical and religious exemptions/declinations allowed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for low- and high-risk Labor & Delivery patients
• Monitor fetal status and respond promptly to changes in fetal heart rate patterns
• Assist with triage, labor support, delivery care, and postpartum transitions
• Circulate for C-sections and support operative obstetric procedures as needed
• Collaborate with OB hospitalists, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float to Perinatal areas when needed to support patient care needs
• Use SBAR, Omnicell, and Allscripts-based workflows to maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Promote a calm, supportive environment for mothers, newborns, and families
